Core Philosophy and Ethics
Common sense application of organisational analysis and improvement tools - we use a number of management analysis tools but tempered to reflect where the organisation is in its development.
Local solutions reflecting Local Context - we do not seek to simply impose ‘solutions’ from elsewhere but only those which meet your need.
Focus on both provision and delivery chain - the alignment of what is required with how it is done. This is similarly reflected in the capacity and capability of the delivery chain, ie the number of staff alone is not necessarily sufficient for the task in hand, without their possession of both the skill and competence required to carry out the task.
Involvement of staff and other stakeholders/service users - our experience has shown that staff and service users are usually very well informed as to where efficiencies can be made, synergies achieved and performance improved, yet are often not involved by management and thus, their potentially key knowledge is lost.
Core Values
- Be open, honest and transparent.
- Incorporate equality and diversity in all I do.
- Embrace change and innovation.
- Use resources in the most cost efficient and effective way.
- Value, empower and include staff, and work collaboratively with others.
- Treat offenders (and their families) with decency and respect; equally, involve victims (and their families) throughout.
- Be objective and take full account of public protection when assessing risk of harm and dangerousness.
